Daniel Root is a Massachusetts-based writer and filmmaker and a senior at the University of Connecticut, studying film and video production. His work focuses on themes of nature, spirituality, and faith. His debut short film, A Sunday Afternoon, was an official selection at the Sessions Lift-Off Global Network Festival. He is currently in pre-production on his second short, Nothing, Except You, set for release in Spring 2026.
